Kagocel to become the official sponsor of the 2021 ISU European and World Figure Skating Championships

The antiviral drug Kagocel will once again become the official sponsor of the ISU European Figure Skating Championships® and ISU World Figure Skating Championships® to be held in 2021. The brand has been supporting those sports events since 2018.

The ISU European Figure Skating Championships® 2021 will be held from January 25 to January 31, 2021 in Zagreb, Croatia. And the ISU World Figure Skating Championships® 2021 will be held in the Swedish capital of Stockholm from March 22 to March 28, 2021. The strongest skaters will show their skills in the categories of men's and women's singles, pair figure skating, and ice dance.

According to the results of the ISU European Figure Skating Championships® 2020, held in the Austrian city of Graz, the Russian team won gold in all four categories and was able to maintain the maximum quotas for the next ISU Europeans – three participants (pairs) in each category. As for the qualification for the ISU World Figure Skating Championships® 2021 it was decided to use the results of the 2019 championships, where the Russian team won five medals, including one gold. In 2020, the ISU World Figure Skating Championships® 2020 was canceled because of the pandemic. Therefore, In Stockholm at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships® 2021, the Russian team will be represented by three participants (pairs) in women's singles, pair skating and ice dancing, and two participants in men's singles.

According to Arkady Ivanchenko, head of the Marketing and Advertising Department of the Nearmedic group, the Kagocel brand has been traditionally supporting events aimed at promoting an active and healthy lifestyle. "No single day is worth spending in bed because of illness. We stand for a far-sighted and responsible attitude to one's health. Therefore, the popularization of figure skating in Russia and in the world, with all the grace and elegance of that sports being the result of a huge effort, is an important project for us. In 2020, the preservation of health and prevention of viral infections were of special global significance.
